Max Turnauer is an Austrian businessman who has a net worth of $1 billion. Max Turnauer is one of the richest people in Austria. He is the son of Herbert Turnauer, the founder of the industrial holding company Constantia Industries. Founded back in 1969 in Vienna, Constantia now owns four companies, including FunderMax, whose specialty is making timber products and decorative laminates, and Isosport, which produces plastic composite materials for the ski and snowboard industries. According to 2011 filings, the group's revenues exceeded $1.1 billion in the previous 12 months. Previously publicly traded on the Vienna exchange, the holding company was taken private in 2004. Today Max Turnauer is not involved in the management of the company, leaving the managing duties to his son Stanislaus, who is the current CEO of Constantia Industries. In the meantime, Max serves as the Ambassador of the Order of Malta in Liechtenstein.
